If you are thinking about changing up your style this year or if it’s just making a little more effort in the wardrobe department there is no better place to start than with the basics

These ten wardrobe staples are basics that will last, basics that you will wear to death and mix and match with your current wardrobe from winter to summer.

1. The Perfect Pair of Jeans

Every girl needs a pair of jeans that fit just right. Invest in a comfortable pair you can sit down in after a huge buffet that hugs all your curves in the right way. Make sure to choose a neutral wash (preferably black) in a cut that flatters you.Look to Gap, Levi, MiH Jeans and J Brand for great options to invest in.

6. The do-it-all Black Blazer

A clean cut, slightly longer line black blazer can add shape to your outfit and  instantly makes you look more put together, as well as giving the illusion you have put way more effort in to your outfit than you actually did. Try Theory , H&M or Rag and Bone for structured yet feminine blazers.

7. The Little Black Dress

Obvious, but vital. The perfect LBD might cost a little more, but will cover you when you have nothing to wear, and again is a piece which can be dressed up or down.  LBD are everywhere from Primark to Prada, invest in a classic design that will transcend any trend.
