Jewellery Quarter’s Rajdoot Tandoori celebrated its 50th anniversary with a stylish fundraising event.

To mark the amazing achievement owner Manjit Gill held a fundraising event in aid of Birmingham Children’s Hospital on January 19, which raised an outstanding £1232.10. Prizes at the fundraiser included a relaxing spa day for two at Park Regis Hotel to luxury hampers from East End Foods.

Sports memorabilia including a signed Birmingham City FC football, six months supply of Corona beer, and an England cricket t-shirt signed by Moeen Ali were also auctioned off to raise money for a fantastic local cause.

80 guests from the business and media industry attended the fundraiser, who all raised a glass to Manjit, who was also presented with a trophy to mark Rajdoot’s 50th birthday. His chef, Basu Dev Mali also received a long service award after being with Rajdoot’s for 45 years.

Rajdoot’s began its journey in Digbeth before moving to its current home in George Street, where it went on to become an award-winning restaurant – with diners including Jamie Oliver and Simon Cowell – that continues to be a hit with its customers with its warmth and hospitality.

Happy birthday, Rajdoot’s!
