Style Birmingham was front row when Harvey Nichols unveiled its winter collections
Birmingham’s best dressed were certainly out in force at the Harvey Nichols A/W14 Fashion Show. Stylish guests enjoyed an evening of the very latest trends at the event, which was staged in The Mailbox car park. The unusual venue proved a striking backdrop to the most sought-after pieces from the likes of Saint Laurent, Christopher Kane, Versace, Dries Van Noten, Jil Sander, Lanvin, Prabal Gurang, Kenzo, and Valentino.
The event sold out in a matter of days and those lucky enough to get a ticket were treated to a Champagne reception and car park catwalk before the chance to shop the exclusive looks in store. There was also an after-show party hosted by Nuage 25 at Marco Pierre White’s restaurant.
The show, sponsored by luxury car brand Lexus, definitely whetted the appetite when it comes to what can be expected when the new Harvey Nichols opens its doors at the Mailbox next year.
“It is events like this that confirm us as the leaders in fashion in the region,” explained Richard Vickery, General Manager of Harvey Nichols Birmingham. “We opted for the unorthodox venue because we think it summed up exactly what we are about – we continue to push the boundaries, whether that’s introducing our customers to the very latest fashion talent or the cutting edge design of our new store.”
Hair on the night was styled by Paul Jones, makeup was created by the team at SpaceNK and nails were by Shavata Studio. Styling was by Rachel Story.
