9 DIY Halloween looks and the best products to use!

Struggling for inspiration this Halloween? We take a look at some of the best looks using only makeup and the products you’ll need to master them.

The Werewolf

As seen on YouTube’s Samantha Chapman (aka Pixiwoos), this super easy look is made up of excessive contouring, bushy brows, and exaggerated eyeliner. Simply blend deeper eyeshadow shades, like the Zoeva Matte Eyeshadow Palette (£19.50) across eyelids and redefine your eyes using the Eyeko Black Magic Liquid Liner (£16). Use an old kohl eyeliner to imitate hair and you’re all done!

The Zombie Princess

A super pale foundation is the key to nailing this look. If you’re struggling to find one pale enough, check out the Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation in White (£33) and simply mix into your foundation to maintain the formula whilst adapting the shade. Pair with a combination of autumnal tones of red and burgundy from the Anastasia Beverley Hills Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette (£41) and jet black eyebrows.

The Jester

If you haven’t already heard of Morphe, where have you been? This Halloween, the incredibly pigmented palettes from the affordable brand will become your beauty saviour for creating a stand-out look. At just £23 for 35 colours, you can’t go wrong with the 35OM 35 Color Matte Nature Glow Eyeshadow Palette! And if you’re recreating this jester look, a deep liquid lipstick and fine lipliner are essential.

For this look, a full-coverage matte foundation is required, and the Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation (£30) is perfect for creating a flawless, poreless base. Use darker shades to create shadows around your eye sockets and finish off with some false scars, a smudged lip and backcombed hair.

The Pamperer

Don’t fancy getting out of your dressing gown? Fear not because, with this look, you can hop right out of the shower and be ready in no time at all. Outline a face mask using a brown liner and full-coverage foundation, apply a glam lip and voila! You’re good to go.

The Spider

This creepy-crawly look is an easy way to transform your usual smokey eye. Use the Nars Duo Palette in Pandora (£25) to apply matte black eyeshadow heavily across the eyelid before highlighting with the white shade. Then, add a golden glossy lip and some spider legs.
