Make-up lovers, we’ve got some seriously good news for you as John Lewis has this week launched the global beauty brand, Marc Jacobs Beauty in store.

The first in the city, John Lewis unveiled the new collection as part of its £9 million investment in beauty halls across several branches in its portfolio.

The arrival of Marc Jacobs beauty sees the luxury beauty label join existing favourites including Chanel, Urban Decay and Laura Mercier.

We went along for an exclusive launch night on Tuesday evening, where we were treated to a make-up masterclass by Global Educating Artist for Marc Jacobs Beauty, Yvonne Macinnis.

Not only did we learn key beauty hacks from Yvonne, who has done make-up for huge celebrities including Katy Perry and Lady Gaga – not to mention she also wove her magic at last year’s Victoria’s Secrect Fashion Show – we were given free reign of the label’s incredible products, and trust us when we say they’re incredible.

The brand’s experts will be on-hand at the counter, which is located on the first floor in front of Bobby Brown, to offer advice on products, make-up tutorials and so much more.

Lisa Williams, head of branch at John Lewis Birmingham, said:

The launch of Marc Jacobs Beauty not only marks a first for Birmingham and our customers, but also cements John Lewis Birmingham as a shopping destination, highlighting the importance of investing in new brands, so that we can continue to give customers what they want out of their shopping experience.

So, what are you waiting for? Head to the sparkling new counter and get your hand’s on some new make-up just in time for the Christmas party season.
