The combination of traditionally masculine and feminine scents creates a completely gender neutral candle. Notes of smoke, rose and jasmine are perfectly united, making this a great coffee table candle for the winter months – not to mention the gorgeous packaging. All candles are hand-poured in the founders’ home in Los Angeles using all-natural coconut wax and beeswax, and a selection are now available at one of our favourite independent Birmingham hotspots, Kin Home in Harborne.

Create the ultimate relaxing environment from the comfort of your own home with this affordable M&S scent. Designed to mimic the soothing smell of a spa and infused with sweet orange and lavender essential oils, the best time to light this is when you’re winding down in the evenings. 

Autumn Fig, £30, Honest

Made using organic soy wax and essential oils, this renewable and handmade product by local Birmingham business Honest is one for the eco-conscious customer. Notes of anise, cedar and vetiver make for a clean, natural scent.
