Harry Styles is style icon and we’re not afraid to admit it

He’s come a long way since the days of Jack Wills hoodies and chinos as a fresh-faced One Direction teen, so in honour of his 24th birthday today, we take a look at Harry Styles’ most memorable suits to date.

Back in May 2017, when promoting the release of his debut album on the Today show, Harry donned a daring pink suit. As he broke down gender norms and left fans across the globe swooning, we were left wondering if there’s a shade he can’t pull off. Remember the hideous gold shirt he managed to rock in his Carpool Karaoke with James Corden?

Rewind to the 2015 AMA’s and Harry’s creative flair (or should we say flares) was already beginning to cause a stir. Fun fact: if you Google ‘Harry Styles ugly suit’ you’ll be blessed with this absolute gem that looks a bit like your Grandma’s curtains.

Sat comfortably between Dita Von Teese and Dev Patel at the Burberry S/S Womenswear show in 2012, a youthful Harry was making his entrance into the world of fashion at his first fashion week. On this occasion, he chose to keep it simple and play it safe by opting for a grey blazer and white shirt combo.

As he set a bit of a trend of statement suits during his 2017 world tour, Harry’s preference for a floral Gucci suit was something we could definitely get on board with. It must be said though that this blue two-piece with metallic detailing got its fair share of backlash.

The Pastel Hue

Surrounded by the gorgeous Victoria’s Secret models on the catwalk in Shanghai (including his rumoured girlfriend Camille Rowe), Harry’s pastel Givenchy suit and heeled boot combo was a refreshing alternative to his bold prints.

The Pinstripes

When Harry rocked up to the British Fashion Awards in a Lanvin pinstripe piece in 2014, heads were turned for all the right reasons. We wish that people in the Style HQ dressed more like this *drops mic*.

Once again it was Gucci for the former One Directioner in his oriental inspired flare suit, with intricate dragon detailing all up the leg and shoulder.

Happy birthday, Harry!
