Hailed as one of the country’s top designers, Paul Smith has announced the opening of new shop in the Mailbox.

Paul Smith Birmingham, which is due to open this month, will stock collections for both men and women, alongside an expertly curated selection of shoes, accessories, artwork and curiosities.

Taking influence from Paul Smith’s DNA of contrasting classic and contemporary, the design of the new shop will blend old and new with rough and smooth.

Speaking of the new shop Paul Smith, said:

From a giant pink box in Los Angeles to a Victorian townhouse with a cast iron facade in London, I always try to come up with totally unique shops, wherever they are in the world. What’s lovely about this one is it has a great mix of clothes and accessories for men and women, as well as a few unexpected twists and turns.

In tribute to Paul’s first shop in Nottingham, a three metres by three metres square has been inlaid into the shop’s floor, exactly mirroring the original dimensions.

Simon Samuels, partner at Brockton Capital, joint owners of Mailbox, said:

Our strategy for the Mailbox has been to bring world-class names to Birmingham. We know that Paul Smith will be a hugely welcomed addition to our strong and diverse fashion offer.

An official opening date for the shop will be announced soon.
