How To Wear: Velvet

Read this in: 2 minutes

When you think of velvet you may think of the 90s in all its glory, but velvet has stormed its way into the 21st century and been crowned one of autumn 2016’s hottest trends.

The velvet look can be spotted on the catwalk this season with designers such as Gucci, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana and Nina Ricci who are all loving the vintage velvet look, including it in their autumn/winter 16 collections.

From chic to casual, velvet is the perfect fabric for any style and can be easily dressed up with glitzy sequins, or made casual when pairing velvet trousers with a chunky jumper. Baby pink gives a sweet, girlie feel, whereas black velvet adds a more sultry or sophisticated look and is ideal for channeling your inner rock chick!

If you don’t want to be clad in velvet, why not try velvet choker necklaces to add a touch of decadence to any outfit.
