6 cocktails you’ve probably never heard of (but need to know about)

With the opening of Dirty Martini on Bennetts Hill on April 21, we’re saying goodbye to the classic mojitos and cosmopolitans to make way for a selection of finely-crafted, tantalizing cocktails.

1. Kiwi & Coconut Martini

Made from Beefeater Gin and Kalani coconut liqueur, this cocktail is shaken with with Midori melon liqueur, guanabana juice, fresh kiwi, fresh lemon juice and gomme syrup for a fruity sensation on the tongue.

2. Swedie Pie

Another one for the fruity cocktail lovers, Ketel One Vodka is mixed with Bold London Spirit, Mandarin Napoleon liqueur, pink grapefruit juice, egg white, gomme syrup and blackcurrant compote for a small but powerful tipple.

3. The Bee Hive

If you like the sound of an espresso martini with a twist, then The Bee Hive is the cocktail for you. The clue’s really in the name with this one and alongside Patrón XO Café Tequila and QuiQuiRiQui Mezcal, you can expect to taste honey, bee pollen syrup and honeycomb with a coffee base.

4. The Zeitgeist

In true Dirty Martini style, this quirky twist on a classic martini has got us all excited. Beefeater 24 Gin is shaken with Briottet Crème de Rhubarb, fresh lemon juice, gomme syrup, chai tea syrup and blackcurrant compote, served with a dash of tonic, served in a dainty martini glass.

5.  Fine & Dandy

Possibly one of the most aesthetically pleasing cocktails we’ve ever seen, the Fine & Dandy combines fresh lime juice, cranberry juice, grenadine syrup and Orange Bitters with vodka and Velvet Falernum. This refreshing drink is perfect for enjoying in the warmer months.

6. Blueberry & Rosemary Smash

For the designated drivers and teetotals, the fun doesn’t end just because you’re not drinking alcohol! The Blueberry & Ginger Smash is a mix of fresh blueberries, honey and rosemary with cloudy apple juice and fresh lemon juice, all topped with a bit of lemonade.
