On the first hot summer’s night of the year, the team at Hotel du Vin held a sophisticated little soiree to show off their new Summer Menu
GM Tony Elvin invited some special guests to try canapés versions of the new menu with a selection of carefully matched wines.
The new Summer menu features fabulously fresh tasting dishes such as the SCALLOPS CEVICHE – three scallops thinly cut and marinated in lime juice, salt, sugar, pomegranate, chilli and baby coriander; LIMOUSIN BEEF CARPACCIO with Boudin blanc Scotch egg and ROASTED TIGER PRAWNS in chilli butter.
One of the highlights is the flavour packed BRAISED HERDWICK LAMB BREAST, served with peas, carrots and mint chutney.
Not the mention the wonderful desserts. PEAR AND ALMOND TART with honeycomb ice cream or even the CRÊPES SUZETTE FLAMBÉ drenched in Grand Marnier and orange sauce, topped with fresh oranges and zest cooked at your table by the knowledgeable HdV waiting team. C’est fantastique!
