BASS Festival returns to Birmingham this month

BASS Festival is heading back to Birmingham for its 11th year, with legendary artists taking to stages across the city to celebrate Black music culture.

From November 10 – 28 artists will perform at venues including 6/8 Kafe, O2 Institute, Lab 11 and many more. For more than a decade BASS has established itself as one of the UKs innovating boutique festivals with an annual theme running throughout the events, this year artists slots will focus on the theme of Hip Hop 360.

This year BASS has gone all out to bring you a line-up packed with incredible artists spread across the two-week period. Featured artists this year include Hip Hop pioneer and award-winning producer and DJ, Jazzy Jeff who you can catch on the opening night at Lab 11.

Head to IMAX on November 22 where US Hip Hop radio legends DJ Bobbito and Stretch Armstong will be premiering their film biopic ‘Strech and Bobbito: Radio That Changed Lives.

Across the rest of the festival Slick Rick will be performing to an intimate crowd at the O2 Institue on November 28, so get your tickets quickly for this one before they’re gone! Following the release of his critically acclaimed book ‘Hip Hop Raise Me’, DJ Semtex will be hosting a live Q&A at the Hare & Hounds on November 24 with UK Hip Hop’s Rodney P and Ty.
