Talented city photographers can now take part in a competition which celebrates Birmingham.
Capture Birmingham, which launched last Friday on World Photography Day is inviting all Midlands amateur and professional photographers to capture Birmingham’s in a series of 10 photos that they believe tell the story of the city and convey what it means to them.
Lead by Birmingham branding agency ORB, Retail Birmingham and award winning international photographer, Martin Brent Capture Birmingham is part of ORB’s mission to champion the city’s creative talent and encourage more local business leaders to recruit and invest locally in the city’s creative industries, rather than looking to London or overseas.
The winning photographer will win £1000 worth of camera equipment courtesy of Retail Birmingham and shoppinginbirmingham.com, as well as the chance to work with former Sony World Advertising Photographer of the Year, Martin Brent who will be judging the entrants.
Martin Brent said:
I’ll be looking for a creative and innovative interpretation of what Birmingham represents in the modern world.
To enter, simply upload your pictures of Birmingham as well as an explanation of the series in no more than 200 words here. The competition closes at midnight on Monday 25th September.
