Get ready to mix up your weekend, Birmingham Cocktail Weekend is just around the corner.
From boozy brunches to tantalising tastings, and even the chance to distill your own gin, Birmingham Cocktail Weekend (BCW) has released its final schedule for this year’s event which runs from July 14-16.
The full schedule release coincides with the announcement of the final five participating venues which includes the newly opened Gaucho, as well as The Balcony, Pitcher & Piano, Churchills and Siamais.
Kicking off the boozy weekend in style is the New Alexandra Theatre which will be offering wristband wearers the opportunity to get behind the bar and create their very own signature cocktail.
Across the city, The Victoria is pairing up with Auchentoshan American Oak for an event that’s bound to get whisky lovers excited. And if that doesn’t tickle your fancy, why not head to The Victoria’s sister venue, Buffalo & Rye on Bennetts Hill for some late night bourbon tasting.
Saturday will set off with headline sponsor Courvoisier offering a masterclass at The Courvoisier Hub @ Hotel Du Vin; giving cocktail revellers the chance to taste their full range and really get to know this classy brand.
Wristband holders can then make their way to Bourne & Co for a Classic Whisk(e)y Masterclass, or head over to The Edwardian Tearooms at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery for an evening with Birmingham Jazz Festival whilst sipping on their own signature cocktail.
Rounding off the weekend wristband holders are spoilt for choice as The Botanist and Rub Smokehouse & Bar will be trying to nurse hangovers with BCW themed brunches. Rub is also teaming up with Licor 43, offering up a breakfast Hoagie with a free cocktail for just a fiver – there will even be some free samples and a chat with the Brand Ambassador chucked in for good measure!
