Canadian folk duo Madison Violet are heading to the Glee Club next week as part of a 10 date UK tour.
Due to take to the stage next Thursday, their Back to the Roots tour features their new album The Knight Sessions, which takes inspiration from the duos love of the acoustic sound and will include stripped back tracks that they’ve recreated in what the band consider to be their ‘purest form.’
The Canadian duo consists of Brenley and Lisa, who have been writing and creating music together since 1997 after a chance meeting at a restaurant in Toronto.
During the 17 years that they’ve been working together, Madison Violet have experimented with a whole host of eclectic musical genres, including pop and electronic.
The duo have already toured Europe twice, during which time they offered audiences a fresh sound which comers from their album Year of the Horse.
To support their new pure sound, Brenley and Lisa have been browsing in pawn shops in Toronto in search of items that can be used to produce natural sounds in the studio.
The Back to the Roots tour includes 45 shows across various locations in the UK and Europe.
