The Full Monty is Heading To The Hippodrome Next Week

You can leave your hat on…the award-winning West End show The Full Monty will land in Birmingham Hippodrome Theatre next Monday.

Based on the 1997 smash-hit film which starred Robert Carlyle as leading gent, Simon Beaufoy’s stage adaptation is led by Hollyoaks’ Gary Lucy as Gaz and Chris Fountain as Guy.

Directed by former Eastenders’ actor Jack Ryder, The Full Monty began its latest tour in Bournemouth on September 21. With its advance box office for the tour over £5 million The Full Monty is playing to record-breaking theatres around the country with extra performances already added to the Hippodrome Theatre and Leeds Grand Theatre.

This saucy production which tells the story of six men: Gaz, Gerald, Horse, Guy, Dave and Lomper, won the UK Theatre Award for Best Touring Production is an absolute must-see for theatre lovers who want to add a little heat to these cool autumn nights.

The Full Monty is Beaufoy’s first theatre production, with his screen credits including Hollywood blockbusters such as The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, 127 Hours and Slumdog Millionaire.

The Full Monty runs at Birmingham Hippodrome from Monday November 14 – Saturday November 19.
