Lake Komo are heading to The Sunflower Lounge on their autumn tour next month
The four piece, indie-electronica band will be taking to the stage at The Sunflower Lounge on Tuesday October 11th to play tracks from their highly anticipated debut album. The 17-date tour will see Jay Nudd, Liam Maxwell, Jess Gould and Pete Bentley play shows to crowds in a majority of the major cities in the UK.
Since their humble acoustic beginnings, the band relocated from Lancaster to Manchester last year. They then began to steadily prepare the debut album which their growing fan base in the North West have been patiently waiting for. Last year Lake Komo supported Brits Critics’ Choice and BBC Sound Of Winner Jack Garratt and perfored to audiences at Liverpool Sound City, Y Not and a number of other festivals.
Their debut album is being produced by Cam Blackwood who’s worked his magic for the likes of Brit Award nominated London Grammar, and the man behind the well loved track, Budapest by George Ezra.
The band have recently been picked for the Radio 1 playlist with their fresh, new single Milwaukee, which is one of the first tracks the band ever wrote together based around the summer break up that frontman Jay Nudd experienced and the trials and tribulations that followed.
Jay, who embarks on a journey of discovery across America in the video for the track said:
We wanted a video that would mirror the sentiment of the song whilst giving the viewer a real sense of discovery and wonder, and a road trip up the Californian coast gave us the perfect opportunity to do that.
