Prepare to give your sweet tooth a treat – Miss Macaroon is bringing sugar, spice and all things nice to the Great Western Arcade.
Set to be both a luxury store and the only place that will allow you to indulge in sweet macaroons and sip on a glass of Prosecco, the newest addition to the Great Western Arcade will open its doors at the end of October.
As well as opening its debut shop in the heart of the city, Miss Macaroon will also along bring its signature Macaroons That Make A Difference mission, a social enterprise that aims to provide employment and training programmes for unemployed young people, in particular young care leavers and ex-offenders.
The initiative is based around a four-week pastry training course for 18 to 35-year-old, long term, unemployed people in the Midlands. The stores macaroons will be produced by the trainee chefs, who will also be supported by a team of professional patisserie chefs.
Founder and managing director of Miss Macaroon, Rosie Ginday, said:
Miss Macaroon started in the city and has become what it is today because of the young people we’ve worked with here, and the support we’ve had from local business leaders and enterprise programmes.
Miss Macaroon is passionate about providing only the very best, hand-crafted, premium macaroons for a sublime moment of indulgence for any occasion. Rosie added:
We currently trade online, so having a space where both our customers and staff can see the brand be brought to life is really special.
Miss Macaroon will be opening in unit 8 at the Great Western Arcade joining the likes of Bistro 1847, Loki Wine and Sushi Passion.
