Shoppers were given a surprise treat yesterday when a perspex box, brought to the Bullring by mixologists from The Alchemist, popped up in the city ahead of its launch later this month.
A 12m perspex spectacle appeared by the Bull yesterday afternoon, occupied by two mixologists who worked their molecular magic, creating some of The Alchemist’s signature cocktails.
They whipped up a number of The Alchemist’s famous concoctions including Bubblebath, a delicious mix of gin, Chambered Aperol, apple juice and a dash of sugar syrup.
A Bunsen burner and dry ice was also used to create their playfully named The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, which demonstrated the theatrical element of cocktail making that the new restaurant and bar will bring to the city when it opens on Monday 26th September.
