Some of the city’s top photographers took to the roof of Birmingham’s Alpha Tower to capture the evolving skyline.
Photographers including Verity Milligan, Ross Jukes, Tim Cornbill, Kris Askey, Beth Astington, Fraser McGee, Jon Crampton, Martin O’callaghan, Matt Beach and Steve Townsend all headed to the roof of the tallest office building at dawn, capturing the city’s ever-changing skyline that showcases Birmingham’s latest additions – including Grand Central and New Street Station – alongside the plethora of cranes that are putting together multiple developments across the city including Paradise Circus.
The incredible images are the first to be taken from the roof of Alpha Tower in three years, following on from the £16million refurbishment work by property firm CEG, who led the event.
In partnership with Birmingham’s Hidden Spaces and IGERs Birmingham, CEG invited the photographers to take to the roof at 4am to shoot the incredible skyline at dawn.
The team also got the chance to shoot the ongoing construction inside Alpha Works on the 21st and 22nd floor.
