The hit band, Simply Red, are taking to the road once more!

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of their best-selling UK album of Stars, the band are going on tour and are once again taking to the stage in Birmingham.

The tour sees the band play their best hits along with songs from their Stars album at the Birmingham Genting Arena on November 20th. The first half of the show will feature classic Simply Red melodies, while the latter half will feature the band’s 25 year old album in its original running order.

Released in September 1991, Stars became the best-selling UK album for two consecutive years; a feat that since hasn’t been repeated.

It was the bands 4th album release and the first to host a collection of songs written entirely by lead singer, Mick Hucknall. Bagging himself an Ivor Novello award for Best Songwriter of the Year and a Brit Award for Best British Band.

Now 25 years after its release, Stars remains one of modern music’s most successful albums. Turning Simply Red into one of the country’s biggest bands, selling over 10 million albums worldwide. Today, Stars sounds just as fresh and exciting as it did over two decades ago.
