Titanic the Musical | Birmingham Hippodrome 

4- 9 June

The five Tony Award-winning musical, Titanic, docks in to Birmingham this week to showcase the legendary story of the ‘unsinkable ship’. Step on board into 1912 and follow the hopes, dreams and aspirations of the fellow passengers all striving for their own ‘American dream’. Birmingham Design Festival | Citywide 

7 – 10 June

To celebrate the progression of the local creative industry, Birmingham will be hosting the Design Festival this weekend. Innovative workshops, talks, exhibitions and demonstrations are available to get involved with. Explore the city thriving with creativity and discover the new institutions and rich heritage Birmingham has to offer.

Masters of the Universe | Ikon Gallery 

21 March – 10 June

Approaching the final week of display, it’s still not too late to visit the futuristic exhibition Internet Giants: Masters of the Universe at Ikon Gallery. The exclusive new work by British artists Ben Langlands and Nikki Bell delves into the age of ‘Big Data’ showcasing digital animations, installations and sculptures used to express the dynamic architecture of Multinational Technology Companies along the likes of Apple, Google and Facebook.

Laughter Yoga | Quantum Centre, Digbeth

5 June

If you’re feeling a little down, laughter is always the best medicine. Now, a thrilling new fitness class has come to town promising to reduce stress, anxiety, depression, high blood pressure and even burn calories all in one simple step – laughing. Skip the gym and head down to Digbeth on Wednesday evening for the funniest night of your week.

Paint and Prosecco | Creative Coffee Hub, Selly Oak

6 June

Make the most of the opportunity for mid-week drinks and try out your painting talents. Dragon Boat Race | Edgbaston 

9 June

Channel your competitive streak this Saturday and head down to Edgbaston to support the Dragon Boat Race. Enjoy the thrill of the competition or even enter yourself to get involved and raise money for local charities. Prizes will be given to winning contestants and ‘best dressed’ teams. Entertainment and refreshments will be available throughout the day. Get your best team and outfit together and join the fun this weekend.
