Nothing makes us Brummie’s happier than a three day weekend! So we’ve rounded-up to top things to do in the city to make the most out of your August Bank Holiday.
Harry Potter Marathon | Mockingbird Cinema
Potterheads rejoice! After the first HP Marathon sold out, the lovely lot at Mockingbird Cinema decided to host the event for the second time, so there’s still a chance for you to grab some tickets and join Harry, Ron and Hermione on their epic adventures. Each film will be shown back to back, so you might as well clear your diary, this event is going to take over your entire weekend.

Bank Holiday at Jekyll & Hyde
Chin, chin, it’s time for gin! Make your way to The Jekyll & Hyde this weekend and treat yourself to a gin-based drink – or two – at one of Brum’s favourite cocktail hot spots. And, if the weather’s being kind, why not head into the beer garden to soak up some sun and give your skin that much-needed dose of vitamin C.
The Big Sleuth
If you haven’t embarked on The Big Sleuth trail yet, then you should really pop this on your to-do list for the weekend. There are so many fantastic bears spread across the city from Pigeon Park to Cadbury World waiting to be discovered. Download the app and head out on your very own bear hunt to help raise awareness and funds for the fantastic Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Don’t forget to share your photos on Twitter using #TheBigSleuth!
