Throw yourself into Spring with the modern aesthetics of our favourite menswear collections

While beanies and scarfs may seem ideal for the time being, just like the sun, spring is on the horizon. We’re hoping for temperatures to ramp up so swap those layers for subtle, yet clean styles. The SS16 collections blesses us with neutral colour ways, mixed tones and tailoring that gave menswear an air of rejuvenation; which is what this warm-weather season is all about!

All of these looks can be found at The Bullring shopping centre in the heart of Birmingham City Centre.

H&M Studio SS16
An almost casual, everyday feel for the H&M Studio SS16 Men’s Collection with a focus on quality and simplicity. You find no gimmicks with this outfit, it’s staple ‘Suede Jacket’ is a modernised throwback to the 70s, offering versatility that can easily be dressed up or down. The rest of the look is dominated by a similar beige t-shirt and shorts combo with a stone shirt to separate the colours without shattering the integrity. Throw on some trainers or even a pair of brogues to change the whole dynamic.

Tommy Hilfiger
Now, Tommy Hilfiger’s approach to their Spring/Summer collection had a peculiar 1950s island holiday vibe; tailoring with ease and enjoyment. Let’s begin with the nautical crew neck jumper, adding contrast to the all-white attire while giving instant style to any outfit. The white western outerwear jacket with offsetting buttons is the epitome of sophistication, clean and crisp, this is an essential for any man’s wardrobe. White cropped trousers paired with a sleek black loafer takes you right back to the 50s and make for a polished finish.

River Island
A brand that never shies away from embracing trends, River Island implements fresh twists on classic pieces for a casual look. The bomber is still standing proud and is becoming more of an necessity leading into 2016. Choose a darker hue and mix with a bright striped t-shirt for a contemporary vibe. Tuck the tee into a pair of classic blue jeans and slap a black belt around them, the results will be reminiscent of a traditional 50’s ‘James Dean’ style. Finish the ensemble with a pair of light grey smart shoes for the perfect get-up.
