Birmingham’s leading department store is set to host Live + Loud – its annual festival, which this year celebrates the city’s diverse and vibrant contribution to music.

The festival, which kicks off on September 22, comprises ten days of transformational music happenings in-store, including a live DJ set with Birmingham’s own Mike Skinner from The Streets, as well as local DJs and unsigned artists, plus family events. Live + Loud also coincides with Birmingham Weekender, the bi-annual arts festival that features hundreds of free events.

So, what can you expect?

The acclaimed food hall on the first level will be hosting the Breakout Bandstand, which will see more than 20 up-and-coming bands from Birmingham perform, whilst Selfridges Collab Sessions will be bringing together two artists from different genres to produce a new track from scratch over five hours.

Expect an explosive Clash of Drums set on Friday 22 September, a carnival-inspired Bhangra party with live dancers and musicians on Sunday 24 September, an energetic three hour set from Mike Skinner on September 29 from 4-7pm and a pop-up radio studio throughout the festival from YouTube sensations SB.TV, whose channel has over 10 million subscribers.

And take a look at these added extras!
