Flatpack Film Festival | Across the city | Tuesday – Sunday
It’s one of our favourite independent festivals of the year, so, of course, we’re really happy to see Flatpack Film Festival return this week.
Taking place in multiple venues across the city, Flatpack gives you the chance to watch some fantastic movies and short films created by independent filmmakers from across the city and beyond. You can get involved in some fantastic events, workshops and exhibitions, too.
Marvel Pub Quiz | The Prince of Wales Moseley | Wednesday
Avengers, assemble! Following the release of Endgame last week – no spoilers here, we promise – The Price of Wales Moseley is celebrating one of the biggest film and comic franchises of all time, by hosting a Marvel pub quiz.
So, if you know your Loki from your Thanos and your Marvel Cinematic Universe knowledge is up to scratch, you could get your hands on the cash prize if you come out tops!

Taking place each month, Artful Social will take place at a different venue across the city and will have a different theme every time, while allowing you to pick up new skills along the way.
The Guilty Feminist: Live | Symphony Hall | Thursday

This Friday, Harborne Night Markets is taking over The Green Man, where you’ll be able to sink your teeth into delicious food from local traders, while browsing stalls from local designers, artists and stores selling handmade items.
You’ll also be able to enjoy live music and have a bit of a dance, before making your way back to try out some more tasty food and drink. What better way could there be to kick-off yet another bank holiday weekend?
Free Radio Hits Live | Arena Birmingham | Saturday
Free Radio Hits Live is taking over Arena Birmingham this bank holiday weekend, and it’s bringing some fantastic acts with it.
In the past, performers have included the likes of Ed Sheeran, George Ezra and Clean Bandit – to name a few – and this Saturday, chart-topping acts including Lewis Capaldi, Ellie Goulding, Tom Walker, Louis Tomlinson, Zara Larsson, The Vamps and many more.
Mr. Scruff | Hare & Hounds | Sunday
While you may not have heard his name before, we can guarantee that you’ve probably heard the music of Mr. Scruff on your TV.
So if you fancy a bit of a pre-bank holiday boogie, the DJ and record producer is doing a gig at the Hare & Hounds this Sunday.
Kicking off at 9pm and running right through until 3am, tickets cost £15 and can be booked here.
