Feeling hungry? Then you’re going to love this. Taste of the Mailbox is returning next month and it’s offering a weekend of delicious dishes, tasty tipples, expert masterclasses and complimentary treats.
Running across the Mailbox on the weekend of August 2 – 4, here’s what you can expect from the tempting three-day event.
Indulge at the Farmers Market
Offering everything from handmade luxury doughnuts to craft ales and charcuterie, Ludlow Food Festival will be curating a farmers’ market for you to discover a variety of delectable treats from a host of independent suppliers.
Sit Back and Relax at a Free Foodie Film Screening
From 11am every day of Taste of the Mailbox will be showing some of the most-loved family films (all foodie-themed of course). Grab a seat, sit back and relax in the chilled surroundings of the Urban Room on Level 2 for the following screenings:

Learn Some New Kitchen Skills with a Michelin starred Chef
On Saturday, August 3, join Birmingham’s Michelin starred chef, Brad Carter of Carters of Moseley, as he hosts an exclusive masterclass in Kitchen Gallery’s beautiful Mailbox showroom.
Known across the city for his innovative menus and modern techniques, Brad will be cooking up two tantalising sampling dishes* before taking time to answer any culinary questions you might have.
You’ll also receive a copy of Brad’s mouth-watering new book, Staff, signed by the man himself, as well as a Carters of Moseley tote bag. Tickets are priced at £55, click here to book your spot.
Experience Delicious Caribbean Flavours with Original Flava
Founded by brothers Shaun and Craig, the Original Flava duo offers authentic Caribbean cuisine made simple. With a huge online following and their very own cookbook, the internationally-recognised pair will be cooking up a storm on Saturday, August 3, from 2 – 3pm and 5 – 6pm at Canalside, where you’ll be able to try the food for yourself while learning top tips and tricks.
On Saturday, the duo will also be joined by BBC journalist, Beccy Wood at the Mailbox big screen on Level 2 for a cookery Q&A. Here, you’ll have the chance to learn their kitchen tips and tricks so you can bring da’flava into your own home. This event is completely free to attend, so just click here to reserve your spot.
Catch a live cooking demo from BBQ master Low ‘n’ Slow
There will be BBQ demonstrations from one of Birmingham’s most loved street food vendors, Andy Stubbs of Low ‘N’ Slow. He’ll be cooking up mouthwatering Longhorn steaks from Dunwood Farm on sunny Canalside on Sunday (4) from 12pm – 1pm.
Andy will also be advising on what to look out for when buying beef perfect for BBQ’s, as well as revealing his top tips on how to set up a two-zone cooking area on a grill.

Toast to the Weekend with a Cocktail
Whether you like Pina Coladas or want to cool down with a Cosmo, mixologists from across the Mailbox will be giving you the chance to try their very own cocktail creations. Head to the Urban Room on Level 2 throughout the weekend to enjoy complimentary concoctions and learn how to make the classics from the experts at Aluna, Malmaison and more.
Feast on Complimentary Nibbles
Keep your eyes peeled on Canalside as the likes of Everyman Cinema, Red Peppers, Miller & Carter and Nando’s will be offering free samples for you to try across the weekend.
