I’m going to let you into a little secret and I’ll admit, I’m slightly reluctant to share. Just as the fashion press went crazy when Primark first opened its doors in Oxford Street, there’s much excitement amongst my fellow interior stylists as the high street favourite has upped its homewares game. For the new season, Primark has put some serious ticks in the trend boxes, from 70s inspired rattan to stylish dinner sets and all, as you’d expect, at great prices. As the new stand-alone Primark Home opens its doors at Merry Hill, here are my top buys to create scroll-stopping interiors on a budget (just don’t tell anyone!).
Mason jars, from £2; glass containers, from £3; ceramic bowls, from £4: With pantry porn an actual thing, those over-used plastic containers just don’t cut it anye; instead, organise your perishables in style.
Wall hanging baskets, £5 each: The stylish way to clear the clutter – hang on a painted peg rail in your kitchen or bathroom or use to keep the kids toys tidy in the playroom.
Sandalwood, Cedarwood and Vanilla scented jar candles, £1.50 each: Scent is a crucial part of a successful interior scheme – and when you can stock up for a couple of quid there’s no excuse not to light your favourite candles.
