Something funny is happening at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery… On Thursday 4 September 2025, the historic Tearoom will host the launch of a brand-new comedy night: Comedy at the Museum. The series promises to bring top-tier British comedians to the unique surroundings of the museum, combining great laughs with a touch of culture.
The inaugural show features MC Matt Price alongside comedians Mike Gunn, and Larry Dean. Matt Price has performed at major UK comedy clubs, independent venues, and 15 Edinburgh Festivals. Known for his sharp wit and warm hosting style, Matt creates a lively atmosphere for both performers and audiences alike.
Mike Gunn brings a blend of cynicism and humour shaped by a colourful past. He has supported big names like Lee Mack, Jo Brand, and Alan Davies, and appeared on shows including Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Celebrity Deal or No Deal, Harry Hill’s TV Burp, and Time Gentlemen Please.
Larry Dean is an award-winning comedian, writer, and actor, with three Edinburgh Comedy Award nominations. His TV appearances include the Royal Variety Performance 2024, Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week, House of Games, and Michael McIntyre’s Big Show. He also co-hosts the BBC Sounds podcast Famously… On Trial with Stacey Dooley.
