Britain’s most successful dance group, Diversity, is opening a brand-new studio in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter this October. The space joins their Essex flagship and online studio, offering world-class facilities for everyone, from four-year-old beginners to professional dancers.
The Birmingham studio will host a variety of dance styles, including street, commercial, and contemporary, with weekly classes taught by core Diversity members. Students will also gain access to creative performance opportunities, masterclasses, and exclusive event hires.
“What I love about Diversity is that we’ve never held auditions. It’s all about community,” says Ashley Banjo. “In one room, world-class rehearsals are happening, while beginners are learning their first choreography. We can’t wait to open our doors in Birmingham, a city that has always supported us.”
The launch comes ahead of Diversity’s SOUL tour in spring 2026, hitting 32 towns and cities, including five shows at Birmingham’s Alexandra Theatre in February.
Since winning Britain’s Got Talent in 2009, Diversity has sold out UK and Ireland tours, won the Virgin Media ‘Must See Moment of 2020’ at the BAFTAs, and established a thriving Essex studio. Members have also become household names on TV and radio, Ashley Banjo received an MBE in 2023 for services to dance, while Jordan Banjo and Perri Kiely host KISS Breakfast and star on various TV shows and podcasts.
Diversity Studio Birmingham is more than just a dance space, it’s a hub for creativity, energy, and community. Whether you’re stepping onto the floor for the first time or rehearsing a professional routine, the studio offers a place to learn, perform, and grow.
