Love is in the air in Birmingham’s historic Jewellery Quarter. The Jewellery Quarter Business Improvement District (JQBID) hosts its Wedding Fair later this month, showcasing the area as the perfect destination to tie the knot.
The event on Saturday March 23 will see the Golden Square (B18 6NF) transform into a wedding wonderland, with a marquee filled with local independent businesses catering for that dream celebration.
Renowned as an epicentre of craftsmanship and trade, the Jewellery Quarter has long been a magnet for couples seeking the perfect wedding rings. From traditional bands to bespoke creations, there’s an extensive array of options catering to all budgets and tastes. What sets this destination apart is its community of skilled craftspeople, ready to breathe life into one-off designs or reimagine heirloom pieces, ensuring every couple finds a symbol of their love.

But it’s not just about the rings; the Quarter is also a one-stop destination for all wedding essentials. From elegant dresses and dapper suits to fragrant blooms and skilled photographers, everything needed for the big day can be found within its historic streets. There’s also unique and quirky venues for a distinctive backdrop to say “I do” or host a memorable reception.
The Jewellery Quarter Wedding Fair is the perfect port of call for those embarking on their matrimonial journey. The marquee will see 20 local suppliers and vendors offering floral arrangements, invitations and stunning bridal gowns all under one roof. There will also be a pop-up bar and street food.
Throughout the Quarter, a number of participating shops will be offering exclusive one-day-only discounts on wedding rings and other jewellery.
The last Jewellery Quarter Wedding Fair attracted more than 1,000 attendees. Luke Crane, CEO of Jewellery Quarter Business Improvement District, says: “I’m so pleased that our funding application to bring back the Jewellery Quarter Wedding Fair was successful. We are able to host this fabulous event for couples and support all our local businesses thanks to a Shared Prosperity Fund grant from Birmingham City Council, the UK Government (Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities) and the West Midlands Combined Authority, alongside our own contribution. We can’t wait to welcome the crowds again.”
Monika Jockute, store manager at Sonny’s Jewellers, adds: “Helping a couple find the perfect piece that will create a treasured moment in their life is what this is all about, and there’s no better place to find that than the Jewellery Quarter.
“It’s possible to plan every aspect of your wedding here; from wedding rings, bridal jewellery, florists to favours and even venues. We love being part of the event and getting the chance to showcase the amazing variety of products and services available in this vibrant and historic area.”
