Chef and owner of The Boat Inn, Liam Dillon, is bringing his culinary expertise to Birmingham, with weekly pop ups at the Harvey Nichols Brasserie every Monday this June.
Liam Dillon has trained at world-renowned restaurants including Marcus Wareing, La Becasse, Five Fields and Story, as well as stints at Noma, Eleven Madison Park & Quay. He recently competed in Series 16 of Great British Menu 2021, representing the Central region, and has been chef-owner of Michelin-recommend and 3 AA Rosette Restaurant The Boat Inn, in Lichfield since 2017.
His pop up at Harvey Nichols will consist of a six-course tasting menu, featuring some of his Great British menu classics, his fish course ‘The Apple’ and pre-dessert ‘The Jigsaw’.
His fish course, The Apple, draws on Sir Isaac Newton’s discovery of the law of gravity, featuring an apple filled with Dorset crab, kelp and tuna jelly, pickled elderberries and topped with crackers.
Inspired by John Spilsbury who created the first jigsaw puzzle in 1762, ‘The Jigsaw’ consists of lemon parfait, honeycomb, compressed cucumber and dill.
Guests will have the option to order drinks from the a la carte Bar menu or from a specially designed wine pairing menu, curated by Wine Specialist Michael Tully. The menu will cater for vegetarians, pescatarians & gluten free dining.
Richard Morris, Retail Operations Manager at Harvey Nichols Birmingham commented,
“We have some great foodie pop-ups planned to celebrate local chefs and produce in our Brasserie events space, starting with Liam Dillon this June.”
