Now, I must admit I am not a nail girl. In fact, for years I have committed the greatest beauty sin … I bite my nails! Yet despite the jagged cuticles and uneven nail beds, the talented team at this new salon in the Harvey Nichols Beauty Hall managed to take even the shortest of nails and give them some much needed TLC.
First things first, I started by choosing my gel colour; for me, my main goal was to match the aesthetic of my prom dress…think classic, old Hollywood. So, of course, I selected a deep, chic red to match the elegant silhouette of my dress. And while my experience was the ultimate pre-prom treat let’s be honest, you never need an excuse for a manicure! Whether it’s that summer wedding you’ve been invited to, and you want the perfect blush pink to compliment your outfit, or it’s a girl’s night out, and you’re after the ideal flirty shade to match your heels, Nail’d It has a wide range of O.P.I colours to suit everyone and every event.
After I settled on the perfect shade, it was time for the best bit. My nail artist was wonderfully friendly, and I sat gossiping with my friend for our one-hour appointment, while she expertly shaped and painted my nails, leaving me with a flawless, professional finish.I am delighted with the results, and still cannot get over how she took my short, uneven nails and made them sophisticated and classy. And, having never had gel nails before, the most exciting part was how quickly it took for my nails to dry – finally no more smudges! I think it’s safe to say that Nail’d It has transformed how people get their nails done, as it offers not only impeccable treatments but also a modern, chic experience.
