As we head into the colder months, you might be looking to reinvent your wardrobe ahead of the holiday season. But what if we told you that you could pick up gorgeous, high-end pieces at unbeatable prices while supporting a fantastic charity along the way?

Resorts World has recently welcomed 1869, a charity pop-up shop run by Action for Children. The store opened its doors to customers last Friday (October 11) and raised an incredible £1000 in just three hours.

Led by volunteers, the pop-up stocks rand new pieces, sample items, and second stock from high end retailers, along with a wide variety of children’s clothing, so you can guarantee you’ll be able to get your hands on a bargain or two.

The 1869 concept has been such a success that its Birmingham space at Resorts World is now its third location following on from previous runs in both Watford and Norwich. The charity is hoping to raise a total of £20,000 during its time at Resorts World. So far, a total of £92,000 has been raised for the charity across its previous pop-ups, going straight towards supporting vulnerable children across the UK.

Speaking of the pop-up’s opening, retail project manager for Action for Children, Charrice Richmond, said: “We want every child in the country to have a safe and happy childhood and we’re so excited to be bringing the 1869 experience to the Midlands.

Operations director of Resorts World, Ian Bennett, commented: “We are really excited to welcome the 1869 Action for Children pop-up, it’s a great addition to our retail mix that we think our guests will love. Action for Children do fantastic work and this is a brilliantly innovative idea that we’re delighted to support.”
