Debut Exhibition | 4 – 12 April 2025 | Centrala

Tat Vision’s debut exhibition, Glued to the Box, squeezes pop culture icons from the small screen into literal boxes – both a playful nod to childhood TV obsession and a reflection of the hands-on, glue-filled process of papier-mâché.

Exploring themes of nostalgia, television’s influence, and the tangible nature of the past, these new pieces capture the textures, smells, and objects that made childhood magical – memories of afternoons spent hanging around the house, glued to the box.

Join the opening night on Digbeth First Friday (4 April, from 6 PM) for an evening of unexpected surprises and general shenanigans, including a live performance at 7 PM. For more information click [here].

About Tat Vision

Birmingham-based artist Tat Vision – aka Well Douglas – first made a name for himself repurposing bric-a-brac, charity shop finds, and, well, tat! He shot to viral fame with his ‘bronze’ statue of Four Lads in Jeans outside New Street Station, and has since become known for his papier-mâché renditions of familiar faces, as well as hosting workshops to help others craft their own.

“Some of the heads have been trying to escape, so I thought it was about time I boxed them up. Although I can’t seem to find Neil Buchanan – he must be off doing one of his Art Attacks somewhere in Brum.” – Tat Vision

Don’t miss this offbeat, nostalgia-packed debut at Centrala, running from 4–12 April.
