Enjoy a romantic Christmas meal for two at Harvey Nichols

 

 

Christmas may be about spending quality time with your family and friends, but that doesn’t mean you should give your date night the cold shoulder. This festive season, take your seat in the elegant Harvey Nichols restaurant for a delicious turkey ballotine served with stuffing and pigs in blankets followed by a classic handmade Christmas pudding.

 

 

If that doesn’t take your fancy, why not enjoy head chef Stewart Mackie’s festive creations including mandarin and sesame seed duck terrine with beetroot and black garlic purée; Spinach and ricotta ravioli, mushroom and onion crumb; and toffee apple sponge with cinnamon ice cream.

 

Priced at £33 per person, these opulent choices are available Monday 12pm-7pm and Tuesday to Sunday 12pm-10pm until Tuesday, December 24.

Celebrate with a festive afternoon tea at Chez Mal

 

 

Make Christmas one to remember with your friends with a temptingly tasty afternoon tea at Chez Mal, Malmaison.

 

Featuring a range of delicious classics with added sparkle, the menu includes savoury choices of smoked chicken and cranberry wrap and Asian salmon and pickled cucumber sandwiches on dark rye. Of course, there will be plenty of sweet treats including cherry and vanilla Battenberg, mince pie tart, tiramisu with amaretto and panettone and chocolate roulade.

 

Washed down with a choice of tea or coffee, it’s a fabulous way to toast to the holidays. There are even vegetarian and gluten-free options available too – and if you want to make it extra special, you can upgrade to a Champaign or cocktail afternoon tea.

Indulge in a Christmas bottomless brunch at Aluna

 

 

Aluna is bringing festive flair to the Mailbox with a Christmas Bottomless Brunch that you can enjoy throughout the whole of December. Known for its flamboyant cocktails, Aluna’s seasonal bottomless brunch is made up of an inviting menu filled with traditional classics – including options for vegetarians – alongside choices of edamame and kale pancakes, a club sandwich, waffles and eggs Florentine.

 

 

During your two-hour slot, you can enjoy one main course followed by pudding, plus bottomless Prosecco or cocktails – sounds tempting, right?

Festive dining with a French flair at Côte Brasserie

 

 

This Christmas, Côte Brasserie has a menu that will take you from Birmingham to the beautiful streets of Paris. Bursting with festive flavours, you can enjoy mouth-watering options of rabbit and pork terrine, breaded calamari, bacon-wrapped chicken supreme, duck confit a la orange, Tarte aux Mirabelles and crème brûlée.

 

 

And if you have room, you can enjoy three tempting courses from £29.95. There’s also the option to include a drinks package of wine, teas and coffees from just £17 per person.

Get into the festive spirt at Christmas by Mailbox

 

 

Christmas by Mailbox will be hosted on Level 1, where guests can browse a wide range of handcrafted jewellery, wreaths and decorations, as well as festive food and drink.

 

Guests can expect a free cup of mulled wine on arrival* as they browse collections from nine independent jewellers who learnt their craft in the region’s famous Jewellery Quarter. The event is in collaboration with Birmingham School of Jewellery and will be in place on Saturday 30th November and Saturday 7th December.

 

Floral expert, Richard Randall, will kick off the festive season at the Mailbox from Thursday 28th November. His range of show-stopping decorations, wreaths, floral displays and trees will be available to browse on Level 1 every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday until 22nd December.

 

Live music will also be performed on selected weekends in November and December so guests can enjoy their favourite festive songs and carols while they shop.
