Qavali Brindley Place

The Dirty Martini, located on Bennetts Hill is the perfect blend of sophisticated and stylish. The dress code on their website states ‘dress to impress’, so put on your best outfit, and a nice pair of shoes and get down to this bar, you won’t regret it. Their cocktails are to die for and there is something for anyone. Fruity, floral, vodka, or gin; there will be something for you here.

Oh… and you don’t want to forget the iconic photo opportunity under their neon wings, guaranteed to spice your Instagram up.

LuLu Wild Brindleyplace

Sit back and soak up the elegant atmosphere as you work your way through Lulu Wild’s oh-so glamorous cocktail menu. There’s traditional mixes – Martinis, Cosmopolitans and Daiquiris – as well as tempting tipples with a Chinese twist, including the must-try Ginger Mojito, the Shanghai Secret or the Fortune Cookie, made from vanilla vodka, cookie and cream.

The Botanist Birmingham

The interior of The Botanist is striking and serves an old school charm, decorated with light wood, beautiful light fixtures, and stunning flowers. The second you step in you’ll feel right at home, if you’re looking for the perfect comfortable yet classy evening The Botanist is the place for you.

You will be glad to hear that they are more than generous with their portion sizes because let’s face it, no one wants a small drink. Efficiently, their cocktails are divided into ‘fruit and floral’, ‘fresh and herbaceous’ and ‘citrus and spice’, which makes it all the easier for you to find your perfect cocktail.

Piccolino Brindley Place

Cocktails at Christmas. What could be better?  Whether you’re looking for a well-earned drink to follow a hard day’s Christmas shopping, or to start your night out with a taste of something new, Piccolino has a fabulous festive cocktail to suit every palette including Gettin’ Figgy With It combining Amaretto and French fig liqueur with pureed blackberries, pressed lemon, aromatic cherry bitters and egg white and for G&T fans the Xmas Tree Bramble the perfect blend of raspberry and blackberry infused Bombay Sapphire gin with William Fox pine syrup and pressed lemon, plus   Banana Boulevardier and The Infante.

The Alchemist

If you love cocktails then you will have heard about The Alchemist, as some would say ‘an oldie but a goldie’. Although it may be the obvious choice, it is for good reason as this is the place to come if you are serious about cocktails. If you’re looking for some cocktails to try, how about their Pot O’ Gold or if you’re one for sharing give the Mad Hatters Tea Party.

The drinks here are all about alchemy and mixology, so if you love to have a little theatricality alongside your drinks then head right over to this bar. The cocktails here are nothing less than delicious and are sure to impress, from colour changing to steam, this place has it all.

Aluna

Located in the Mailbox, Aluna is perfect for both a delicious pan-Asian meal accompanied by some lavish drinks, or if you’re here ready to get the party started they will also have you covered. It provides an atmosphere like no other, the dimmed lighting accompanied by its modern choice of music makes the perfect setting for the theatricality provided by their mixologists.

The cocktails here are bound to impress, whether you’re looking for glitter, glow sticks, or even fire paired with your drink, Aluna has it all. If you’re looking for something new to try then we would most definitely recommend their Marshmallow Daiquiri, which has the perfect blend of alcohol mixed with a sweet surprise.

40 St Paul’s

If it’s an intimate setting that you’re looking to accompany your drinks with then 40 St Paul’s is the place for you. Hidden behind what appears to be someone’s front door, the bar overlooks the magnificent views of Birmingham’s own St Paul’s Church, so you can truly take in the atmosphere and enjoy yourselves.

Gin lovers will adore this cosy hidden gem as it has 140 of its best gin to offer especially for you, and in 2019 it was proclaimed World Gin Bar of the Year by Gin Magazine, so you know you’re in for a treat.

Pitcher & Piano

At Pitcher & Piano, located on the canals of Brindley Place, visitors can enjoy their cocktails alongside a vast and scrumptious menu. Its look is modern and fresh, and the atmosphere is both charming and sophisticated, visitors can be reassured that they will have a lovely evening here, and the prices are great too.

The Lost and Found

If you love crazy yet tasteful cocktails then the historic The Lost and Found is the perfect spot for you. Decked in vintage fittings, this venue stays true to its roots and comes with a unique backstory of adventurer Hettie G. Watson.

This Victorian, botanical hideaway located on Bennetts Hill offers you both a classy night out, and exciting drinks that are sure to please everyone’s taste. The Pineapple Club

This new vibrant bar located in the Great Western Arcade is slowly making its mark on the Birmingham cocktail bar scene. People will be glad to hear that its drinks menu serves all of the classics, such as the much-loved Pornstar Martini, however, it also offers creative signature cocktails such as the Candy Club Punch.

Its interior is stylish and a little quirky with inspiration from the 1920s, decorated with neon lights and art-deco furnishing, so definitely keep in mind the great photo opportunities here.

The Jekyll and Hyde

One of the quirkiest cocktail bars in Birmingham, The Jekyll and Hyde are known for its extensive yet magnificent list of drinks. Inspired by the potions drank by Dr Jekyll himself in the classic piece of Gothic Literature.

This bar offers a cocktail menu that is split into five categories. Of which include our personal favourite, the ‘confectionaries’, inspired by everyone’s best-loved sweets such as strawberry laces and lemon bonbons.

The Grand Hotel

The Madeleine Bar at The Grand Hotel stays true to its name, the grandeur of the room is like no other. The stunning atmosphere transports you to another world as you experience a piece of Parisian chic in the heart of Birmingham. Its presence is imposing in the best of ways, the kind that you want when celebrating, on a date, or if you’re looking to have a sophisticated night out on the town.
